SABARIMALA: Aggregate revenue earnings of Lord Ayyappa temple touched an all-time high
of Rs 73.17 crore during Mandalam pooja period ended December 7 as against Rs 61.64 crore during the corresponding period during the last pilgrimage season.
The amount showed an increase of Rs 11.53 crore. The income from the sale of aravana prasadam stood at Rs 32.18 crore during the period under review as against Rs 23.46 crore in the same period last season.
Hundi collection during the period in the ongoing season came to Rs 23.83 crore incontrast to Rs 21.96 crore. The sale proceeds from appam prasadam stood at Rs 6.16 crore as against Rs 5.34 crore in the same period in the previous season. The revenue from the sale of neyyabhishekam coupon stood at Rs 72.88 lakh as against Rs 65.50 lakh in the same period last season.
