KOCHI: The CBI on Thursday took over probe into the case related to submitting of fake documents at the Trissur vigilance court by officials of the PCB in a bribe case. The FIR involving PCB Environmental Engineer A K Surendran, Assistant Engineers- Sindhu Radhakrishnan, V A Suseela Nair, K S Vinay and Bindhu Vinod was filed before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
Following a directive of the High Court, the probe was taken over by CBI. Inspector A Baiju of CBI would be investigating the case.
The case was first registered at Thrissur town police station. A K Surendran is an accused in a vigilance case for allegedly demanding bribe of `15 lakh from a granite quarry owner.
