KASARGOD: Kumbla police booked a schoolbus driver for slapping a Class -I student for laughing during a trip.
Driver Thirumalesh slapped Shahal (6), a student of Kunil English Medium School, Kumbla, while dropping him home two days ago. Shahal’s mother Salma had asked the school driver to drop the boy at her maternal house at Kambar.
When the bus was nearing the house, the driver slapped the boy on the face saying he laughed loudly.The child’s family called Childline, which prepared a report against the driver and pressed the police to filed a case.
