KANNUR: As part of the ongoing raids by the Income Tax Department (IT) in various organisations and establishments, the officials seized Rs 18 lakh from a company in a raid conducted in Kannur.
Speaking to Express, senior officials in the IT department said that the currency found stacked in the company were in the denomination of Rs 500 and 1000 .
The officials revealed that the company has not disclosed the source of the funds.The department will furnish the details of the company once the raids and investigations are completed, added the official.
