KOLLAM: Kerala State Human Rights Commission member K Mohankumar said the death of Murugan, who was allegedly denied treatment by hospitals, has humiliated Kerala in the public sphere. While expressing shock over the incident, the KSHRC member also said the incident has undermined the state’s achievement in the field of public health.

“The incident has just melted away the achievement Kerala has projected in the public health sector for a long time. In this case, the gross violation of human rights has occurred,” Mohankumar told reporters after a sitting of the Commission at Ashramam Government Guest House, here on Wednesday.
