Ministers to visit Kurinjimala sanctuary

The Cabinet sub-committee consisting of the Revenue, Forest and Power ministers will visit the proposed Kurinjimala sanctuary in Kottakamboor near Munnar on Monday.

IDUKKI: The Cabinet sub-committee consisting of the Revenue, Forest and Power ministers will visit the proposed Kurinjimala sanctuary in Kottakamboor near Munnar on Monday.

The threemember ministerial team including Revenue Minister E Chandrasekharan, Forest Minister K Raju and Power Minister M M Mani will set off their journey from Munnar at 10 am. On reaching Vattavada by 11 am, the team will visit various places in Vattavada villag es where the boundaries of the sanctuary have been proposed.

A plan has been made under the auspices of the Devikulam Sub-Collector V R Prem Kumar, regarding the visit by the ministers of the state. There is no confirmation for the ministers’ visit in the controversial encroachmentareas in Kottakkamboor. The ministers will leave the place by the afternoon.
