SABARIMALA: The total revenue of the Lord Ayyappa temple here touched Rs 128.56 crore in the 30-day period ended on December 16 of the 2017-2018 pilgrimage season as against Rs 111.39 crore during the corresponding period during the previous season.

Of the total revenue, the income from the sale of aravana prasadam came to Rs 56 crore during the period under review in contrast to Rs 49.48 crore in the same period in the last pilgrimage season. The total hundi collection during the period stood at Rs 45.73 crore as against Rs 36.73 crore in the previous season.

Income from appam prasadam came to Rs 9.76 crore during the period in contrast to Rs 9.18 crore during the same period last season. The revenue from accommodation facilities of the devaswom stood at Rs 2.42 crore as against Rs 2.22 crore in the corresponding period in the previous season. Income from the sale of ghee after offering came to Rs 86 lakh during the period under review in contrast to Rs 75 lakh during the same period in the last season.
