KOZHIKODE: The Nadapuram police on Wednesday arrested a 37-year-old woman in connection with the death of a 26-year-old woman after she was allegedly subjected to black magic to get rid of her physical ailment.
Shameena of Laila Mansil house, Puthiyakadav, who sustained 85 per cent burn injuries died here at private hospital on Wednesday. The arrested has been identified as Najma of Chungiyam Koyiloth House, Thoovottupoyil, Purameri.
Najma was taken into custody based on a complaint lodged by the relatives of the girl, said the police. Subsequent probe into the mysterious death exposed the incident of the black magic.
