THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government issued guidelines with regards to Chief Minister’s Fund for improving infrastructure for marginalised people. Assistance to those marginalized and isolated for various reasons will be provided in association with organisations, NGOs and institutions interested in social services, as well as from people.

Beneficiaries can send applications directly to the Chief Minister, Finance Minister, Chief Secretary, Finance Additional Chief Secretary or District Collector. The first page of their ration/Aadhaar cards and passbooks should be sent with the application, which will be sent to the District Collector.

The Collector will prepare a report containing details of six months’ income of the applicant and will certify that the applicant did not receive similar assistance from the Government, NGO or any other agency in the past.

Based on the report, the fund will be transferred electronically to the applicant’s  bank account linked to Aadhaar. The section concerned will ensure the applicant gets assistance in a month. Any delay in file movement will invite strict action. Revenue authorities will also ensure that the beneficiary does not sell or transfer the land or house purchased using the fund.
