KOCHI: The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will conduct an awareness programme on employees’ provident fund (EPF) and labour laws on January 30.
The programme being organised in association with the Forum for Reforms in Corporate Law (FRICL), will be held at the Chamber Hall here at 1.30 pm. The newly introduced schemes and changes brought about by the Centre and state governments in labour laws and procedures will be discussed at the sessions.
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner C Vijayakumar will inaugurate the programme. The function will be presided over by KCCI chairman Raja Sethunath. Ernakulam district labour officer Mohammed Siyad and C B Mukundan of the Forum for Reforms in Corporate Law will lead the sessions.
Officers of the EPF and Labour Department will conduct a practical session on ‘Electronic Challan-cum-Return Version-2 (ECR) and Wages Protection System (WPS).
