KOTTAYAM:  Gautham Krishnakumar, 28, son of Vijayakumar, Sreevalsam House, Thiruvathukkal, Kottayam,  was found dead on the railway track near Caritas Hospital, Thellakom, here on Saturday morning. Vijayakumar is the owner of Indraprastham Hotel and auditorium in the town.

The body was spotted on the track near the Caritas railway gate, said the police. His car was found along Caritas Junction-Ammancheri Road.

There were bloodstains in the car and a deep wound on his neck. Top cops, including district police chief N Ramachandran, visited the spot.

The police recovered his mobiles phones and belongings from the car, prima facie ruling out a chance of murder for gain.
