Human rights commission calls for subcommittee report on outdoor advertising in Kerala

The Kerala State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC) has called for the report of the subcommittee set up to implement the government policy on outdoor advertisements.

KOCHI: The Kerala State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC) has called for the report of the subcommittee set up to implement the government policy on outdoor advertisements. The move by the rights panel follows the rise in the number of accidents caused by hoardings and arches.

Commission acting chairman P Mohanadas said  several lives have been lost after the  hoardings collapsed on people. Mohanadas also directed the government to submit the action taken report(ATR). The rights panel order came on a complaint from K P Raju of Kakkanad.
