Nurses to go on indefinite strike

 The United Nurses Association has decided to go on an indefinite strike in the state if the private hospitals fail to implement the orders of the Supreme Court and the recommendations of the Balaraman and Veerkumar Committee.  

THRISSUR: The United Nurses Association has decided to go on an indefinite strike in the state if the private hospitals fail to implement the orders of the Supreme Court and the recommendations of the Balaraman and Veerkumar Committee.  

On Monday, a token strike will begin in Thrissur and nurses working in private hospitals will remain away from work. The decision was taken during the state level association meet on Saturday. Notices have already been given to 158 private hospitals in the state, while the rest of the hospitals will be served with notices by Monday.
