Abhilash who studied at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Vadavathoor, wishes to pursue computer science at IIT- Delhi.
He was ranked 110 the JEE (advanced). He said hard work and a good reading habit ensured a strong place in the competition.

Hailing from Bhaliabol Kateni in Dhenkanal district, Abhilash was not surprised in the least by his rank.
“I am not surprised, but I am very much happy with the results,” he told Express over the phone from Dhenkanal. Abhilash’s father Premanand Kar is a farmer and mother Suchitra is a teacher.
