Rs 10 lakh solatium, government job to kin of deceased jawan Sreejith

The state government has announced a solatium of  Rs 10 lakh to the mother of a Rashtriya Rifles jawan from Palakkad who died in an ambush in Jammu & Kashmir.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has announced a solatium of Rs 10 lakh to the mother of Sreejith M J, a Rashtriya Rifles jawan from Palakkad who died in an ambush in Jammu & Kashmir. The Cabinet on Wednesday also decided to provide government job to Sreejith’s sister Sreeja.

In another decision, an amount of Rs 3 lakh has been granted to Praseeda, wife of Army Havildar Sajeesh K R from Alathoor who died from snake bite while on leave. The financial support will be given from the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.

The Cabinet also issued its nod to the draft bill prepared by the Law Department to replace the Kerala Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2015. The draft bill is being brought in as a new Central act has come into effect from May 2016.
