Murder suspected after Kerala school girl found hanging

The girl was identified as Sharanya, a fourth standard student of GUP school, Attapalam and the daughter of Bhagyavathi of Selvapuram.

PALAKKAD: Suspicions of murder have arisen after the discovery of the body of a nine-year-old girl hanged to death in a shed attached to her house in Attapalam near Walayar on Saturday evening. The death comes a month and a half after her sister also died in a similar manner.

The girl was identified as Sharanya, a fourth standard student of GUP school, Attapalam and the daughter of Bhagyavathi of Selvapuram.

Back in January, Sharanya’s 11-year-old sister, Hrithika, was found hanging.

Local people expressed doubts over Sharanya’s death and stated it could be a murder. The police are investigation the case.
