Kerala: Vigilance Court directs probe against senior IPS officer

The court directed a probe against the senior IPS officer following a petition filed by P Chandrashekaran Nair of Aranmula.

KOCHI: The Vigilance Court Muvattupuzha on Saturday directed the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) director to register a case and initiate a probe against Thiruvananthapuram Range inspector-general, Manoj Abraham.

The court directed a probe against the senior IPS officer following a petition filed by P Chandrashekaran Nair of Aranmula.

According to the petition, Manoj Abraham misused his official position as public servant and amassed wealth disproportionate to known source of income. The petitioner also filed certain documents to substantiate his claims.

The Court after hearing the counsel, directed the VACB to register a case against the IPS officer.
