Govt reshuffles top cops

In yet another reshuffle of the top cops effected by the LDF Government, Tomin J Thachankary has been appointed ADGP (Headquarters) while Anil Kant is the new ADGP (Vigilance).

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In yet another reshuffle of the top cops effected by the LDF Government, Tomin J Thachankary has been appointed ADGP (Headquarters) while Anil Kant is the new ADGP (Vigilance). Thachankary was serving as ADGP (Coastal Police) and he replaced Kant who was the ADGP (HQ). 

The government decided to keep the ex-cadre post of the ADGP (Coastal Police) in abeyance temporarily and a temporary ex-cadre post of ADGP (Vigilance) has been created. This post will have a scale pay of `1,82,200-`2,24,100.

Balram Kumar Upadhyay, MD, Kerala Police Housing Construction Corporation has been posted as IG (Headquarters). He will also hold additional charge of MD, KPHCC, until further orders. 

P Vijayan, IG (Ernakulam Range) will have the additional charge of IG (Coastal Police) for the time being. Shefeen Ahamed K, DIG (Administration) at the Police HQ is the new DIG (Armed Police Battalions). Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar, SP (Headquarters) has been posted as SP (Railways), Thiruvananthapuram.  Mohammed Shabeer, Additional Assistant Inspector General (Police HQ) has been posted as SP (CBCID), Thiruvananthapuram. Hari Sankar, Assistant IG (Coastal Security) is the new Additional Assistant IG (Police HQ), T’Puram.
