KOLLAM: In a shocking incident in Kerala, a woman returned home from Church to find her husband hanging from the ceiling of their kitchen while the bodies of her minor sons lay next to him at their house in Kavanad near Kollam district on Sunday.
As per local accounts, Animon (38), killed his sons Adarsh (5) and Darshan (2) by dunking their heads into a bucket full of water before hanging himself.
"The incident happened near Aravila Church at Kavanad. As per preliminary reports, Animon was suffering from mental illness and had once been admitted to a mental health centre. His wife said that when she returned from church she found the front door closed and was not opened despite several requests," said a policeman with Sakthikulangara Police Station.
