THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Criticising the ‘ugly haste’ displayed by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for unleashing political vendetta using the Solar Commission report, former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy pointed out a lack of transparency in all steps taken by the government so far and serious legal flaws in the report.
“Justice Sivarajan had not signed one of the four volumes of the report before submitting it though it was mandatory,” Chandy told reporters here. “Later, an appointment was fixed with the judge (by the Chief Minister’s office) to get the volume signed. No one can be blamed if serious doubts are raised over it.”
Political vendetta, says AICC
New Delhi: The Congress came out in defence of Oommen Chandy. “We reject the report. Oommen Chandy enjoys a clean image in the state,” an AICC official said in a media briefing.
