Major reshuffle in top bureaucracy

In a major revamp in top bureaucracy, Additional Chief Secretary (Labour and Skill Development)  Tom Jose has been given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary,

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a major revamp in top bureaucracy, Additional Chief Secretary (Labour and Skill Development)  Tom Jose has been given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary,  Water Resources Department. P H Kurien, Revenue Additional Chief Secretary, will be given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary (Environment) once the incumbent Additional Chief Secretary James Varghese retires.

SC/ST Development  Principal Secretary V Venu will replace Additional Chief Secretary (Forest and Wild Life) James Varghese on the latter’s retirement. Raju Narayana Swamy will be appointed Principal Secretary P and ARD. He will hold additional charge of  Department of Parliamentary Affairs.

General Education Principal Secretary Usha Titus will be posted as Secretary, Higher Education. Parliamentary Affairs Secretary T O Sooraj will  be made Secretary, P and ARD (official language). He will hold the additional charge of  Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs. B Ashok, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, will replace V K Baby, Special Secretary   (Local Self Government)  following the latter’s retirement. 

New IAS entrants get postings 
The nine state civil service officers  who have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service   also have been given new postings. Shanavas S  will be the new Lottery Director.Abdul Nazar B  will be posted as Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.  D Sujithbabu  will be the  CEO, ASAP. Subash T V  will be the new Director of Information and PRD.

M Anjana has been appointed Executive Assistant of the Chief Secretary. P K Jayasree is the  CEO, Education Mission. Sheeba George is the new Director of Women and Child Development. H Dineshan will be the new Director of Ports.  P K Sudheerbabu will be appointed Director of  Higher Secondary Department.
