THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Wednesday the regressive forces in the country were opposing  the CPM. Inaugurating the E K Nayanar memorial at Vilappil here, he said Amit Shah’s  yathra launched in the state had become a damp squib.  He also said bringing in RSS men from other states to conduct a march here would not help the BJP.  He also said they had nothing to learn from those who worshipped Godse as God.

Criticising the statement of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adithya Nath, he said yogi,  who had been faced with infant deaths in his state should try to learn from Kerala. He also warned that  secularism was in danger under the BJP rule. The BJP should not think they could browbeat the people of the state.

Yatra an attempt to spread hatred in society: Kodiyeri

Malappuram: The Janaraksha Yatra taken out by BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan is an attempt to spread hatred in the society, alleged CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan here on Wednesday. Urging party activists not to fall into the trap laid by the BJP, he said everyone should be aware of the RSS agenda.  “The BJP’s call to take out non-stop marches to the AKG Bhavan in New Delhi this month is aimed at provoking party activists. If party activists get provoked, it will help the BJP to unleash attacks,” Kodiyeri said while addressing a press conference in Vengara on Wednesday.
