KOTTAYAM: Power Minister M M Mani’s brother Sanakan, 56, hailing from Mundakkal house, Erupathekkar in Idukki died here on Monday.
Sankan, who was found seriously injured at Kuthupara near Munnar on the side of Kochi-Dhanushkodi highway on Sunday evening, was under treatment at Kottayam Government Medical College hospital.
It is suspected Sanakan was injured after being hit by any of the vehicles. Idukki police registered a case in connection with the incident and launched an inquiry. Sankan’s funeral will be held on Tuesday.
He is survived by wife Subhadra and daughters Tintu and Awathy.
