ALAPPUZHA: The Revenue Department had issued a stop memo on filling Marthandam Kayal by the Water World Tourism Company owned by Transport Minister Thomas Chandy, it has emerged.A Revenue Department officer said after the stop memo was issued the company had stopped the activities. The Land Document (‘Bhoorekha’) Tahsildar had submitted details of the documents to District Collector T V Anupama few days ago and the same was forwarded to the state government, he said. The survey wing under the Revenue Department, which has been preparing details of the survey carried out on the premises of Lake Palace Resort, is yet to submit its report.
The team had on Wednesday surveyed the outer bund of Karuveli paddy field which is being used as parking bay by the resort. Collector T V Anupama said the report will be submitted to the state government on Friday or Saturday if the survey wing managed to finished the work by then. Otherwise the report will be submitted on Monday, she said.
