NDA coalition leaders to attend Jana Raksha Yatra closing ceremony

The valedictory day’s programme will begin at 9.30 am with a visit by Kummanam Rajasekharan  to the house of  Mannanthala Ranjith who was killed by CPM workers.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: NDA coalition leaders will  join the valedictory of the Jana Raksha Yatra on Tuesday.  BDJS state chief Thushar Vellappally and JRS chief CK Janu will address the meeting. Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Chowbe will also  address the meeting.

The valedictory day’s programme will begin at 9.30 am with a visit by Kummanam Rajasekharan  to the house of  Mannanthala Ranjith who was killed by CPM workers. At 10 am,  he will also visit the  house of another ‘balidani’ Sreekaryam Rajesh.

The padayatra from Sreekaryam will begin at 10.30 am . Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan will inaugurate it .  By 12.30 pm the yatra will reach Pattom and halt for lunch and rest. At 2 pm, Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Chowbe will address the workers. From Pattom to Palayam Junction, national chief Amit Shah will travel in an open vehicle saluting the workers. From Palayam to  Putherikandam, Amit Shah also will join the padayatra.  

The valedictory function will begin at 5 pm. Over 50,000 workers from  various constituencies in Thiruvananthapuram district will attend it; 2,500 vehicles have been arranged to bring party workers.
For the smooth conduct and success of the yatra  200 organising committee offices have been set up at area and panchayat levels.

When the yatra resumes from Pattom, the meeting at Putherikandam will start simultaneously. Workers from Parassala,  Neyyattinakra and Kovalam will reach the meeting venue first.  Workers from all other 11 constituencies will accompany Shah in the yatra.
