Sabarimala season: Spl trains to clear extra rush

The Railways has announced special fare trains between Chennai and Kollam to clear extra rush during Mandalam-Makara festival season at Sabarimala. C

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Railways has announced special fare trains between Chennai and Kollam to clear extra rush during Mandalam-Makara festival season at Sabarimala. Chennai Central -Kollam weekly Special (Train No.06047) will leave Chennai Central  at 6.20 pm on Thursdays from November 16 and 18 and arrive at Kollam by 10.30 am the following day. The Kollam- Chennai Central weekly Special (Train No.06048) will leave Kollam at 1.30 pm on Fridays from November 17 and 19 and reach Chennai Central  by 6.30 am the following day.

Chennai Egmore -Kollam Weekly Special (Train No.06049)will leave Chennai Egmore at 2.45 pm on Mondays from November 20 - January 15 and arrive at Kollam by 5.50 am the next day. The Kollam- Chennai Egmore Weekly Special (Train No.06050) will leave Kollam at 1 pm on Tuesdays from November 21- January 16 and reach Chennai Egmore by 5.30 am  the following day.

Alappuzha-Dhanbad/TATA Express and Ernakulam Jn-KSR Bengaluru Intercity express will be regulated due to track maintenance at Irugur Yard on Monday and Wednesday. Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express will be regulated for 70 minutes at Pilamedu-Irugur section  and   Ernakulam Jn- KSR Bengaluru Intercity express for 40 minutes at the Coimbatore Jn.
