Chit fund fraud: investors to stage hunger strike

The 1,000-odd investors allegedly duped by the promoters of Nirmal Krishna Chit Fund Company will soon begin a hunger strike in front of the office at Palukal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 1,000-odd investors allegedly duped by the promoters of Nirmal Krishna Chit Fund Company will soon begin a hunger strike in front of the office at Palukal in Tamil Nadu. They have decided to intensify the protest after the joint investigation of Kerala and Tamil Nadu police failed to arrest the accused persons even after two weeks. Earlier, the investors had  expressed dissatisfaction over the investigation. 


The investors are yet to get permission from the Tamil Nadu police to start the agitation. The investors said they will begin the strike after getting permission from the Assistant Superintendent of Police. 
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu police have extended the probe into interior parts of Tamil Nadu to trace the accused. The Kerala Crime Branch is giving all assistance to the Tamil Nadu police to trace the accused.
