KOTTAYAM: National Minority Commission vice-chairman George Kurien visited the house of Kevin P Joseph, who was abducted by his fiancée’s relatives and later found dead in a stream. Kurien, who arrived at the house around 11 am, held discussions with Kevin’s fiancée Neenu Chacko and his father Joseph Jacob, alias Rajan.

After discussing the progress of the investigation in the case with them, Kurien told reporters the Commission would recommend CBI inquiry into the death of Kevin. “As per the Supreme Court order, police officers can be incriminated if they made lapses in the investigation into honour killing cases. Moreover, the District Collector should review the progress of the investigation every day,” he said. He also urged the government to give job for Neenu and the Church to provide employment for his sister Kripa Joseph.
