SDPI is an Indian version of Islamic State, says Kodiyeri

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Close on the heels of the police taking the prime accused in the Abhimanyu murder case into custody, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has come down heavily on the SDPI.

Unleashing a scathing attack on the SDPI, Kodiyeri termed it the Indian version of the Islamic State (IS). While pointing at the need to be alert about the SDPI, the CPM state chief added political parties should be cautious about the SDPI workers intruding into their organisations.

The Left Government in the state has been drawing flak for the delay in arresting the accused in the Abhimanyu murder case.

‘NIA should quiz Kodiyeri for his remarks’

Kozhikode: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan should be questioned by the NIA in the wake of his statement, SDPI state president Abdul Majeed Faisi said. if Kodiyeri stands by his statement, he should be ready to provide the evidence too, said the leader.
