KOCHI:BSNL customers in the state can soon enjoy high-speed internet connectivity as the government-run telecom has launched a new Nokia GGSN (Gateway GPRS Serving Node) exclusively for mobile customers in Kerala. The system, which is capable of providing enhanced data speed and better customer experience was inaugurated by director of mobile operations R K Mittal in the presence of BSNL Kerala circle chief general manager P T Mathew at Panampilly Nagar telephone exchange on Monday.
At present, the GGSN system at Chennai is responsible for handling the data requirements of entire South India. “The new system which is capable of offering video streaming, including the ongoing Football World Cup matches, high-speed data requirements, live gaming, etc incorporates the latest features in 4G technology.
