BHUBANESWAR: The first-ever animated patriotic songs in Odia were released at Odisha Odyssey 2012 Festival on the eve of Odisha Formation Day here on Saturday.  Organised jointly by Prerana and IDMT, the festival got off to a grand start and saw release of the songs __ ‘Odisha Aamara Janama Bhuin’ and ‘Tumari Othara Hasa Tiye’. The festival has been designed as a link between the present and the future of the State. On the occasion, the students of Delhi Public School presented a dance drama on the need for eco-conservation and role of society.

 Tourism and Culture Secretary Ashok Tripathy, Higher Education Secretary Aparajita Sarangi, Commissioner-cum-Director, Panchayati Raj Department, Usha Padhi and Managing Director of Ortel Communications Jagi Mangat Panda were present.

 While Sahadev Sahoo, chairman of Nature and Culture Venture, presided, secretary Dr Dilip Srichandan delivered the welcome address. Famous music director Swarup Nayak and Pradeep Tripathy, Director of IDMT,  spoke. Meritorious students were felicitated.
