WITH fashion portals like Styletag, Firstrow and Bestylish, we are not short of retail options that let us shop from the comfort of our homes. Joining the club is Rooja, an online portal launched last December, with discounts of up to 70 per cent on western wear and accessories from international brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss and Kenneth Cole.
Set up by three young entrepreneurs, Rajarshi Chatterjee, Mudit Khurana and Manit Kathuria, the Delhi-based portal has a workforce of 15, including two NIFT graduates as online stylists. “What makes Rooja different,” says Khurana, 24, an alumnus of University of Southern California, “is our clear agenda on housing only high-end international brands and we look up to fashion portals like Asos to set the standard.” In your cart On display are apparel, footwear, handbags, jewellery and accessories like watches, sunglasses, belts and more.
“We give discounts on products that are, at the most, two seasons old,” says Khurana, adding that, they update their catalogue daily. For women, there are fragrances, dresses from Calforniabased Cloudwalk and Impatto, an Italian boutique, Demano handbags, Fendi sunglasses, Pixelmoda watches.
Men can look out for Kenneth Cole shoes, Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss shirts, Giovine watches and Demano bags. Case of originality The portal guarantees the authenticity of items, and in case of doubt, customers are encouraged to furnish an official letter from the brand.
