BHADRAK: Police on Monday said the 24-year-old civil engineer, who was found dead in the Dhamra Port Company Limited guest house, had committed suicide by hanging.
The lady engineer, Soubhagya Priyadarshini, a resident of Bhubaneswar, was found dead in a room of DPCL guest house at Dhamra on Saturday. She was working in Essar group and posted at Paradip.
Police said the girl was sharing the room with senior manager of the port, Ranjan Pattnaik. Arrested in this connection, Ranjan has been remanded in judicial custody till April 30. Bhadrak SP Chintamani Panda said the autopsy report confirmed that it was a clear case of suicide. There was no sign of sexual assault.
