BHUBANESWAR: Tension ran high at Capital Hospital here on Sunday after a teenager, who was hit by a truck, succumbed to his injuries.
Irate family members accused the hospital authorities of delaying treatment to T Chinnaya __ the victim.
Chinnaya of a slum in Badagarh area was returning home from Sundarpada when he was hit by a truck. He was rushed to the hospital but family members said Chinnaya was not treated immediately which led to his death. Tension mounted when hundreds of slum- dwellers reached the hospital and demanded action. Police reached the spot but the agitators refused to budge till reports last came in.
