PHULBANI: Even as the campaigning is in full swing in Kandhamal district, appearance of Maoist posters in Bramhanigaon has spread panic in several areas. The posters, pasted in Gadapur, Kengemaha, Putudumala, Dhusari and Taragabali asked people to refrain from voting.  The posters also warned the candidates in the panchayat elections against luring voters with money. Otherwise the candidates would face death sentence at praja court.

SENSITIVE BOOTHS: In Kandhamal district polling will be held in three phases in 2083 booths.  In the Maoist-infected district, of the 2083 booths, 677 have been identified as hyper sensitive and 839 sensitive. Daringibadi block has the highest number of hyper sensitive booths.
