ANGUL: In an effort to break the month-long stalemate between the JSPL and the villagers, the district administration has called for a tripartite meeting on Thursday.

The decision was taken after a meeting between the leaders of Khyatigrasta Praja Sangha and District Collector Siba Prasad Mishra on Tuesday. The leaders threatened an agitation demanding second round of talks between the villagers and the management.

“After speaking to the SP on the issue, I decided to call the meeting on Thursday. It was earlier decided that the meeting would be held after the panchayat polls,” Mishra said. Work on the steel project of JSPL at Nisha has been hit due to the stalemate, resulting in heavy financial loses to the company.
