SAMBALPUR: A woman died and three  were injured after the four-wheeler, they were travelling in, collided head-on with a truck at Sandhpathar on NH-6 under Jamankira police limits on Wednesday.

All of them belong to Ajanta in Aurangabad of Maharashtra.

Sources said the family was returning to Aurangabad after visiting Puri and Tarini temple at Ghatagaon when the accident occurred.  

Though they were immediately rushed to VSS Medical at Burla, one Sobhabalu Maity died at the hospital. A case has been registered.

Rairakhol: A youth died on the spot and two sustained serious injuries in a mobike-truck collision on Tuesday.

The three were travelling on the mobike when they met with an accident near Luhapank village on NH-55 under Rairakhol police limits.

The deceased has been identified as Nilambar Bhitiria (22) of Rairakhol.
