MALKANGIRI: BJD’s Padmini Muduli is all set to be formally elected Zilla Parishad (ZP) president on Tuesday, party sources here said. She has won from Khairput ZP zone.
The party has won in eight out of the 15 seats here while the Congress captured six and the BJP, one. It may be noted that this is for the first time the BJD is going to form the ZP here.
Padmini Muduli’s name has been doing the rounds ever since the party emerged victorious in the recently held election. While a large section of workers backed her for the post, few supported Bibeka Nirmala Madkami, elected from Malkangiri Zone-1.
