Non-selected candidates allege anomaly in excise SI results

Around 60 candidates who appeared for the excise sub-inspector examination held earlier this year, on Tuesday protested the alleged improper marking in the test.

The examination was conducted on January 15 this year and results were published by Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) in February. More than 9,300 candidates had appeared for the examination.

Some of the candidates who were not selected have alleged that there are anomalies in the marks that they had secured.

The agitating candidates claimed that due to alleged improper marking they could not get a job.  They besieged the OSSC office demanding proper checking to address their concerns. “The senior officials of OSSC have said that our demands will be addressed in the next 48 hours, that is Thursday. We are awaiting their decision after which we will decide on the next step,” said Das.
