BJD to launch Padayatra on Tuesday

Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal supremo Naveen Patnaik will launch the party’s padayatra from October 2 to October 11 from Ekamra constituency.

Senior leaders and ministers will also launch the padayatra in their areas on Tuesday.

 The ruling party has appointed observers for each of its organisational districts to assess the success of the padayatra during which the scams during UPA-II will be brought to the notice of the public.

At the same time, the welfare schemes launched by the State Government will be propagated. The  first leg of the yatra would be led by Minister of State for Steel and Mines Rajanikanta Singh in Angul district.

Biju Yuva Janata Dal general secretary Bijay Nayak has been appointed as the observer for the district by the Chief Minister.
