Nine more outsiders have been arrested in connection with the  Wednesday’s attack on Utkal University (UU) students.

Eight students were grievously injured when about 25 outsiders barged into the university hostel and beat up some students.

In what seemed to be a pre-planned attack, reportedly, the outsiders were on the university campus to settle a previous animosity between them.

Following the recent attacks in which eight students were seriously injured,  the university officials are now claiming that the security to the university will be fortified to ensure safety of the students.

With some of the injured students  still in the hospital, the other university students and those from colleges have protested the attack vociferously on Thursday.
