Festive fervour prevails in the industrial district of Jharsuguda where preparations are on to celebrate Saptami Puja on Sunday.
Huge pandals and attractive illumination beckon people of the district. This year, Durga puja will be celebrated in 84 pandals across Jharsuguda town, 28 in Brajrajnagar and six in Belpahar.
The oldest puja committee, Railway Institute, will be observing its 98th anniversary. The Nagendra Smruti Town Puja Committee would be observing its 60th anniversary this time. Jharsuguda SP K S Kawar said five platoons of force would be deployed in the town for smooth conduct of the puja.
