A hotel owner and his staff allegedly attacked a customer over a trivial issue in the City leaving him seriously injured on Sunday evening. Police have arrested seven persons, including the hotel owner.
Prakash Agarwal, a resident of Old Town area, was having his food at Hotel Kaveri when he picked an altercation with the staff of the hotel located on the Cuttack Road. Police said, the hotel staff ganged up against him and launched an attack.
Catching Prakash unawares, some of them even picked up iron rods and assaulted him leading to head injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital. After a complaint was lodged, Laxmi Sagar Police arrested hotel owner Debendra Barik and six of his staff. They were produced in a local court on Monday.
