Special trains extended

To tackle the festive rush, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to extend the running of special trains to Chennai and Sai Nagar Shirdi from Visakhapatnam.

As part of the move, the Visakhapatnam-Chennai-Visakhapatnam Weekly Special train will run from Visakhapatnam on Mondays at 7.20 pm between November 5-12 and reach Chennai Central the next day. In the return journey, this train will leave Chennai at 9.10 pm on Tuesdays during the week November 6-13 and arrive at Visakhapatnam on the following day.

This train will have stoppages at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur between Visakhapatnam and Chennai.  Similarly the Visakhapatnam-Sai Nagar Shirdi-Visakhapatnam weekly special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 9.10 am on  Thursdays during November 1-8 and reach Sai Nagar Shirdi at 12.15 pm the next day. In the return journey, this train will leave Sai Nagar Shirdi at 7.10 pm on Fridays between November 2 - 9.

The train will have stoppages at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal, Kazipet, Secunderabad, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Nanded, Purna, Parbhani, Jalna, Aurangabad, Nagarsol, Manmad and Kopargaon between Visakhapatnam and Sai Nagar Shirdi, ECoR sources said.
