More than 1,200 district and block level functionaries will be provided special training on various aspects under the Right To Education RTE) Act, 2009.
The five-day training programme is being organised by Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) under Sarva Sikshya Abhiyan (SSA).
The purpose of the training programme is to ensure all children are enrolled in schools, maximum retention and better education quality. A senior OPEPA official said each block level functionary manages about 50 schools under it.
From every block, three functionaries are being trained under the programme.
