A month into his disappearance, Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) officer Ibrahim Shariff is believed to have moved from one place to another.

Investigation has revealed that Shariff’s Facebook account password was recently changed. In fact, the previous passcode was known to his wife but when it was found changed, the City Police tried to trace the internet protocol (IP) address of the new password so that clues on Shariff’s whereabouts can be known.

During verification, it was found that the new IP address was from Dehradun which prompts police to believe that his location may have been changed. The police is also not ruling out the fact that he may have gone on his own.

Earlier when his mobile phone was being tracked, police had found that the IBM official had briefly switched on his handset in and around Allahabad but soon after the network signal was gone leaving police in the dark.

Last month, on this date, Shariff was found missing while his scooter was tracked down in the parking lot of a private hospital. The Commissionerate Police has sent several teams to ascertain his whereabouts but in vain. While his family has been in a state of despair, the IBM regional office is clueless as per what action to take.
