The Department of Higher Education (DHE) has decided to grant scholarship to 128 meritorious students for exceptional performance in the technical and professional studies.
The students have been selected from different colleges, from the academic sessions 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14. The DHE wrote to the Accountant General, Odisha to sanction funds amounting to `21 lakh for the scholarships. Each student will be provided `10,000 per annum and it will be credited directly to the savings account of the students.
The scholarship will be beneficial for the students in pursuing higher studies. The concerned college principals have been informed about the same. The students who are already receiving other scholarships from the State Government can not avail this scholarship.
