Man held for duping jobless

A fraudster identified as one Chittaranjan Das (45) was on Friday sent to judicial custody by Bisra police in Sundargarh district. He has allegedly duped around 50 rural job-seekers with promise of employment. Bisra IIC Susant Das said the accused of Hamirpur area under Sector-19 police station limits had collected Rs 2,000 each from above 50 tribal girls of Udushu, Mendamunda, Tulsikani and Balijodi villages of Bisra block. He had falsely promised them to appoint as ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activists) in the government health sector and enable jobs at the Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital (MCH).

The IIC said the accused used to identify himself as a field officer of the Hi-Tech MCH and his claim was under verification.
