IOCL’s oil refinery project in Paradip is likely to be completed by March next year, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily said here on Saturday.
After commissioning of the oil refinery project, the Centre is keen on setting up a petrochemical complex here which would generate income for lakhs of skilled and unskilled people of the region, he said, while reviewing the status of refinery project.
Expressing satisfaction at the pace of work, Moily said some of the country’s best talents have been hired to commission this project. Sources said 93.6 per cent of construction works in the oil refinery project has been completed till now. The project is being implemented at the cost of `30,000 crore.
