Khalid Shah, a Director of Green Ray International Ltd (GRIL), which is facing charges of fraud in the multi-hundred crore chit fund scam, appeared before the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) here on Thursday.
Since a lookout notice was issued against him, Shah was intercepted at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi where he told the authorities that he has been directed by the Orissa High Court to appear before the EOW on Thursday.
After his arrival here, he was put to questioning by the EOW sleuths. The details of the interrogation will be submitted before the High Court. A number of companies, charged in the scam, had approached the HC challenging the sealing of business premises and freezing of bank accounts by the investigating agencies.
